2-Compromise Usability in 1-Dimensional Statistical Databases

چکیده
Statistical database security is an important problem that has major implications for privacy and protection in the computerised, online world. In this paper we prove that the bounds on the number of answerable range queries in a 1-dimensional statistical database of size n for n odd, or n even and greater than 52, derived in [4] in fact hold for all n except for n = 12, and are achievable using two threads.

Necessary Condition for Maximum Usability of Sdb
A statistical database is a database in which only queries of statistical type are allowed, such as SUM, COUNT, MAX, MIN, MEAN. The security problem for a statistical database is to nd suitable control mechanisms so that while statistical information is provided, no sequence of queries is suucient to infer the values of protected elds of individual records. If such an inference is possible we s...
متن کاملRelative Compromise of Statistical Databases
Statistical databases are databases in which only statistical type of queries are allowed. The results of the statistical queries are intended for statistical use only. However, it has been shown that using only statistical queries it is often possible to infer an individuals's value of a protected field (e.g, using various types of trackers). In such a case we say that the database has been (p...
متن کاملRelationship Between Usability Scale Score and Dimensional Properties and Weight of Socket Wrench in a Simulated Task
Background and Objectives: There are various models of socket wrench in the market varying in the length and diameter of handle and weight. Each of these features alone can modify the force applied by the hand and affect how comfortable the user is. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between dimensional properties and weight of several models of socket wrench with the...

متن کاملThe Eigenspace of the Eigenvalue –2 in Generalized Line Graphs and a Problem in Security of Statistical Databases
During the visit of the second author to the University of Newcastle, School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Newcastle, Australia, in November and December 2002, the authors of this note realized that they, with some coauthors [7], [2], [1], [10], have independently discovered some facts on the eigenvectors of the eigenvalue -2 in generalized line graphs in quite different setti...
